In all my years, I’ve learned that there are a couple of things that set one wedding apart from the next. The first being the unique details that add a little bit of whimsy. And the second being the personal touches that have significance to you and your story. Erin and Jacob’s beach side wedding had both.
Set on the sandy beaches of Sarasota on a beautiful spring day, the warm sun allowed the crystal blue waters to shine. While the couple went for a tropical feel, they wanted to honor the Erin’s roots as well. Originally from South Africa, the couple incorporated the national flower, King Protea, throughout the wedding.
Erin and Jacob fully embraced their tropical beachside environment making shoes optional and embracing ferns and palm fronds where they could. My favorite detail from their big day was, to no one’s surprise, the Boozy Pops. They were the perfect touch to keep guests cool on this hot spring day.
From the Photographer
This fun loving couple stole my heart from the first time we met! This wedding was complete with Boozey Pops, dancing in the rain, singing at the top of their lungs, happy tears and kind words from the father of the bride. It was truly a celebration! Now about those flowers…
The bride’s family was originally from South Africa, and they wanted to incorporate some of their heritage into the wedding…which is where this GORGEOUS King Protea came in (it’s the national flower). I cannot stop staring at the perfect blooms that were the talk of her South African Family!
From beginning to end the day was so much fun to be a part of, I am so thankful to have had the opportunity to get to know such a wonderful family!
